"Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" is a memorable, sidesplitting movie. Two blundering incompetents, Chick (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur (Lou Costello), are luggage managers in the process of carting the ghastly relics of Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and Frankenstein’s Monster to their final destination, the Was Museum. When they get there, the creatures stage an uprising to harvest Wilbur’s brain for Frankenstein’s transplant operation. And Wilbur has just the perfect match, as his is quite an uncomplicated brain indeed. Wilbur has trouble getting Chick and his girlfriend to understand that he is in grave danger. Chick just figures Wilbur’s making it all up out of his vivid imagination. At the same time, Dracula has gotten a hold of Wilbur’s gal pal and cast her under his spell. As the brain surgery begins, it’s a frenzied race for time, as we see if Chick can save his dear friend from losing his mind. A few more monsters appear to add more chills to this hectically paced laugh fest.
