Luke Skywalker is stuck on the boring planet of Tatooine, working for his uncle on a moisture farm. That all changes when two droids with important information come and attract the Empire and its leader, Darth Vader. Luke’s aunt and uncle are killed when stormtroopers working for the Empire come looking for the droids. Along with a former Jedi named Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke hires a pilot named Han Solo to take him to Alderaan, where he will deliver the droid. Alderaan, however, has already been destroyed by the Empire's newly operational Death Star. Solo’s ship gets sucked into the Death Star by a tractor beam, and Luke and Han help free the princess whose message was encrypted into the droid. The Rebellion must destroy the Death Star before more innocent lives are taken.
